If you don't know who Yo Yo Ma is, he is one of the famous concert cellists in the world. Music Education is one of the key elements in improving the lives of children, and even adults as well. Studies show that when an adult start learning music, it relieves their stress as well. We, at LikhAria, also know that music education is not just for children, but for everyone. So how do we start learning music?
Why LikhAria?
Why LikhAria? "Grow the music in you" is our main goal. Contrary to popular belief that there are people who are tone deaf, everyone has their music in them. We motivate our students to know why they are learning music in the first place. Knowing your WHY will help you grow the music in you.
Also, people connect over music. This connection builds communication and as most people say, Music is a universal language. We believe that music serves a greater, divine purpose that can be understood by many. We aim to also communicate this purpose. Learning music is the best technique to appreciate how it communicates. We are inspired by western and even our own country's music, and its ideas, enable our development. Playing music helps us build consistency through practicing and performing. By developing that consistency, we are also enabling our creativity. Creating our own music is one of the benchmark of a successful musician. It may be innately easy for some, but it can be learned and practice.
Through learning music, we at LikhAria, are committed to help people find their purpose and grow holistically. It's an art form that connects us in an harmonious manner. From nothing, out of curiosity, the LikhArian is now growing music through the learn-play-create approach.
What's new!
And now, our website platform. We began operating in this business in 2008 under the brand KeyStrings Music (now as band or ensemble name for events). Then LikhAria's came to properly introduce itself to our community as a music school. When the pandemic strikes, we must shut down our physical school and move to an online platform. We found out, thankfully, that the website host (Wix) had upgraded the e-commerce facilities.
What can we expect from LikhAria's new online platform? We want to establish a music community that is anchored in our mission, vision, and core values, as described in those statements.
